Radio

The radio is how the city talks. No feeds, no apps, no corporate platforms. Just raw, crackling, analogue signal cutting through the static.

Underground Radio

A pirate frequency that anyone can broadcast on. Ordinary people use it to cry for help, tip off Crews about Talos activity, or put out calls for jobs that nobody else will touch. This is where adventures begin.

In Outgunned terms, the Underground Radio is how the Director delivers the Hook at the start of each Shot. Heroes hear the broadcast at their HQ and decide whether to answer the call.

Heroes with the Signal Hijack Feat can also broadcast on the Underground Radio mid-mission, calling in favours or spreading disinformation to Talos listeners.

Crew Radio

Once your Crew hits 10 total reputation, you earn your own encrypted channel. Private comms, coordinated runs, and the sweet satisfaction of knowing the city is starting to notice you.

Crew Radio gives a mechanical benefit: Heroes can coordinate across different locations within the same Scene. A Hero with Crew Radio can use the Pep Talk Feat or share information with teammates who are in a different part of the city.

Scores

Scores are the adventures and missions your Crew takes on. In Outgunned terms, each Score is a Shot (a single-session adventure). A connected string of Scores forms a Cinematic Campaign, building toward a Turning Point and a final Showdown.

Score Structure

  1. Hook - the call comes in on the radio
  2. Scenes - 3-5 scenes mixing action, investigation, and character moments
  3. Chase - at least one chase on Gear (use the Outgunned Need tracker)
  4. Twist - a revelation or complication mid-Score
  5. Climax - final confrontation with high stakes
  6. Resolution - or a cliffhanger that hooks into the next Score

Heist Scores

Some Scores play out as Heists using the Outgunned Heist Campaign rules. The Crew builds a Masterplan, and Plan Bs are used in Flashback mode to reveal past preparations. The Tag Plan B is especially fun in Flashback: "Remember that mural I painted on the Talos precinct last week? Yeah, it was hiding a jammer."
